More about the Second Annual Kepulwitk Municipal iNaturalist Competition

MTRI is proud to host the Second Annual Kespukwitk Municipal iNaturalist Competition from September 18-26! This is a friendly competition between the municipalities of Annapolis, Digby, Clare, Yarmouth, Argyle, Barrington, Shelburne, Lunenburg and Queens to see who can collect the most observations of wildlife with the free iNaturalist app!

iNaturalist is a free app that allows anyone to collect useful conservation data while also learning about the species around them. As part of the competition, we will also be hosting a walk in each municipality to help the public learn to use iNaturalist while we discuss local biodiversity.

We will have prizes for iNaturalist users who observe the most species (1st,2nd,3rd) and who collect the most observations (1st,2nd,3rd) across Kespukwitk.
