Each month this fall, Mersey Tobeatic Research Institute (MTRI) will be offering two free online seminars.
Lunch N’ Learn
Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 12:30 PM
Add a kick of spice to your midday meal by joining our online Lunch N’ Learn! Each month we will explore different topics, inspiring organizations and compelling research in a relaxed lunchtime chat. This month Brittni Scott from the Clean Annapolis River Project (CARP) will be introducing us to the Annapolis sand barrens, its species, how it is changing and the threats it is facing.
Sit Back Seminar
Thursday, Oct. 29 at 7 PM
Our Sit Back Seminars are an in-depth monthly look into the people, organizations and science shaping our shared natural and cultural heritage.
This month Mike Gill, Director of the Biodiversity Indicators Program at NatureServe, will be discussing how technology and local research, including from citizen science, is being used to develop a globally connected biodiversity monitoring system, a finger on the pulse of planet Earth.
