One of the major projects of the Southwest Nova Biosphere Reserve has been the development of a prototype of an Interactive Science Atlas covering the Biosphere designated area. This ongoing project is in partnership with the Nova Scotia Community College, Centre of Geographic Sciences, and the Government of Nova Scotia.
We are pleased to announce that another version of Science Atlas, based on the original concept of the “Southwest Nova Biosphere Region Interactive Science Atlas” is now online for viewing. This expanded version 1, called Nova Scotia Interactive Science Atlas, now covers all of Nova Scotia, adding more topics to explore:
- forests, biodiversity, freshwater, climate, agriculture, geology, coastal, topography, culture, community.
A version 2 of the Nova Scotia Science Atlas is now under active development. We expect that version to be ready in the next few months.
In the meantime, we invite you to explore the:Nova Scotia Interactive Science Atlas, version 1
